A Life’s Work: A 100 year old New York mob-boss is released from prison after 50 years of imprisonment and is given the opportunity to reflect on his life as a gangster.

Sonny Brusco is picked up by his son, Robbie, for the journey to the Manhattan home of Sonny’s daughter for a welcome home party. After fifty years in Egdon Heath prison, the New York skyline and highways are a different place. Arriving in Manhattan he is expecting to learn the business of the upcoming generations, but arriving in the city there is a change of plan. A different kind of welcome party, Sonny learns; not so much a small family gathering but a large collection of friends and family of past business associates. Together they invite Sonny to reflect on his many decades as a mobster.

It’s a family business.
